Intercept (MuteAnt Sounds)

In "Intercept", his new album released at MuteAnt Sounds, Nicolas Tourney explores the technology of interceptions (based on the choice and implementation of capture devices) through the intersection of two main sound sources (video-surveillance streaming flux and electronic circuits), as if it were a question of seeking the rustle of a fundamental electricity which, projected on the screen, would have the power to uncover and reveal the darkness through from the wall. Recordings of electronic devices (where certain textures are gradually transposed until they are almost inaudible, as if to investigate or even force the threshold of their disappearance, operation after operation, the sound pushed towards the degradation of the signal which constitutes it, as if to extinguish in him the fear of disappearing beyond the portal which makes him inaudible) are compared with the elements of a soundscape based on captures from video surveillance systems.
